LH Own Alpaca Yarn - After blowing, cleaning, picking, and sorting for what seems like an eternity, when my Aunt Tina and I get our next batch of fiber processed into ‘LongHedges Own’ yarn, all the memories of the hard work disappear. We really have fallen in love with this yarn and have had brilliant feedback from its users.
We believe we pair some nice (natural) colors together and then brindle the batch into super lofty, 100% organically fed alpaca yarn. LH Own yarn is made up in the studio into 220 yard skeins but should you wish other yardages we can accommodate variation for amounts above that.
Eight LongHedges alpacas have contributed to the 2007 line of LH Own alpaca yarn.
The brindling pairs are: Cracker Jack & Maverick, Sugar Ray & Sky Hawk, Maverick & Sky Hawk, Jackson Brown & Lillie Langtry, Sugar Ray and Pocahontas, and Sultana & Pocahontas.
Yarn shown is LH Own Alpaca Yarn - Jackson Brown & Lillie Langtry, 220yds - 3.7oz.

We stock top quality yarns in a vast range of both cellulose and protein natural fibers and unique natural fiber blends. We specialize in unique, hand-spun, hand painted, artisan and one-of- a-kind natural fiber yarns and the backbone of what we stock comes directly from the North American farms and ranches that produce the fiber.
There is always something unusual in stock but it is almost impossible to list all these one-of-a-kinds in the on-line store.
Should you have a request or desire please contact me and I will send you photos, info and product details or samples of what I have in the studio or will try to have it made up for you.
We stock Alpaca, baby Alpaca, Angora, Bamboo, Buffalo, Camel, Cashmere, Corn silk, Llama, Mohair, Shetland, Soy silk, Silk, Suri Alpaca, Yak and more in the form of yarn, raw fiber and roving and have several hand spinners who spin yarns for us.
Hand spun/hand dyed Suri Alpaca is a current favorite with fantastic twisted locks spilling out of the skein.
