Mother/Daughter Beginner course

A project completed by Mother’s Day in a class that moms and daughters (or sons) take together. If mom already knits, come along anyway, bring your knitting and share your enthusiasm with us over tea and biscuits, conversation and creativity. Joani Lundy, gifted knitter and exceptional tutor, will capture the allure of knitting from a complete beginner’s point of view and coach you & your son or daughter as you both discover skills that will last a lifetime. Discounts apply for more than 1 young person. Single beginners are also very welcome.

After class borrow the latest knitting and yarn books from the studio which include information, patterns, the history of knitting, future projects and inspirational photos!

In your Knitting basket: A Pair of size 8 needles (straight needles).

Sock Crazy!

  

This is the program for sock lovers! If you have never worn hand knit sox before you are in for a treat- finish your first pair in 4 sessions and then go on (2 additional sessions) and learn how to do two at once! Starting from scratch, this course is for beginners and is easy and fun yet yields great results.

After the course receive 10% discount on all Studio yarns for the rest of the year!

In your Knitting Basket: 375 yards of sport weight sock yarn Size 4,5 or 6- 6 inch double pointed needles.

Cost: $45
Date: Tuesdays commencing 25th March-15th April 2008

Time: 5:30-7:30

Advanced Sox (2 additional sessions)

After you have the basics (knowledge of sock construction or Sock Crazy course pre-requisite) move on the fun new way of knitting a pair of sox- two at once!

In your Knitting Basket: 375 yards of sport weight sock yarn 2 pairs circular needles size 4, 5 or 6.

Cost: $ 20 if taken in conjunction with beginners $25 if taken alone.

Drop Spindle

We have decided to do the Drop Spindle program in the springtime. Instructor Anne Bisdorf and I will be firming up the dates in the near future. We will hold the class outdoors, hopefully turning our faces to the sun while we learn the ancient, portable and very rewarding art of spinning fiber into yarn. More info later…
