BREAKING NEWS

05/01/2008 - Icelandic Sheep Arrive

We have an addition to the family at LongHedges Fiber Farm. Our fist Icelandic lambs arrived yesterday and are getting to know everyone on the farm. Beautiful white and black (double coat)fleece that can grow up to 18 inches a year. Icelandics are a truely interesting and rare breed and we are pleased to have them on the farm.
05/01/2008 - We are moving!

I am moving the whole studio back to the farm! We are about to start renovations on the new site (my grandad's former woodshop) right on the estate overlooking a few acres of Alpaca. The time is right! I have been doing some wholesale dyeing of our fibers and yarns and really need a bigger place with dye studio included. We will continue classes & 'Flocks' the community Fiber Art night in addition to learning more about & meeting the animals that produce the Fiber: Alpacas, Angora (Mohair) Goats and Icelandic sheep. I am really looking forward to this move and can't wait to welcome all of you to our farm. Dates for transition will be posted! Thank you
